About Us
After three years of negotiations, the village shop finally became a community benefit company on 27th July 2023. With a passionate committee, determined to make this dream a reality, and the generous support from over 200 shareholders, we did it!
Our lovely post office and store is now a thriving community project we can all be proud of. The loyal staff have been retained and added to and we have over 20 volunteers regularly helping out in the shop or in other behind the scene roles.
In addition to the well-stocked store itself, we have a post office and dry cleaning service and, when funds allow, we hope to create a cosy café area for locals and visitors to enjoy.
However, our community shop will only succeed by increasing the sales to make it a viable concern so come and shop with us and spread the word to your family and friends!
We are thrilled to share some exciting news with our incredible community! Thanks to the generous support of The National Lottery Community Fund, our beloved community store has been awarded a substantial grant of £10,000.
